Wales flanker Martyn Williams further improved his claims to a Lions tour spot with a magnificent display against Italy.
The Cardiff openside followed his impressive display last week against England with another masterclass in back-row play at the Stadio Flaminio – deservedly being named man of the match.
After the game, Wales coach Mike Ruddock paid tribute to his tearaway loose forward.
"Martyn was brilliant, like all the players," Ruddock said.
"He was given his opportunity after Colin Charvis was ruled out – he took it against England and he’s taken it again today.
"Everyone in this squad knows they have to play well if they want to hang onto the jersey."
