British & Irish Lions centre Will Greenwood will make his return to the Harlequins first team after a four-month absence in Saturday’s Zurich Premiership clash against London Irish.
Greenwood, fit again after undergoing shoulder surgery, began his comeback during a Zurich A League game last week.
And he is now restored the senior side’s midfield, lining up less than 48 hours before Sir Clive Woodward announces his Lions squad to tour New Zealand this summer.
Greenwood, an England replacement during the autumn Tests, missed the entire Six Nations campaign.
But, with the experience of 55 caps and two Lions trips behind him in 1997 and 2001, he is a player that Woodward is bound to consider closely.
