New Zealand flanker Richie McCaw is relishing the opportunity to get back into action as he targets a return to rugby on Friday.
The Crusaders skipper, who is expected to feature for the All Blacks when they take on the British & Irish Lions, has been out of action since being concussed in the game against the Bulls in April.
But he starts the match against the Hurricanes on the bench expecting to get some game-time.
"We said right at the start we’d be conservative with it," the 24-year-old said.
"Last week I could have played. I felt pretty good, but we were always going to leave it another week – and this week I feel great so I’m looking forward to playing."
