Gavin Henson is aiming to regain full fitness in time for the British & Irish Lions’ warm-up games on this summer’s tour.
The Wales centre has a long-standing groin injury but has been having pain-killing cortisone injections and seems to be winning his fight for fitness.
"The Lions tour is huge and you’d almost run through a brick wall to play," the 23-year-old told The Sun.
"I’m in no pain at the moment so it looks like the jab has worked.
"I should start training again at the end of the week.
"It would be great to play alongside Jonny Wilkinson and Brian O’Driscoll in one of the warm-up games.
"I would imagine it would be an awesome experience."
