British & Irish Lion and Scotland captain Jason White will be sidelined for at least a week after picking up a knee strain with Sale Sharks on Sunday.
The 28-year-old flanker will miss the Scotland training sessions this week to ensure he will be fit for the Premiership play-off final and the summer games against the Barbarians and South Africa.
Scotland team doctor James Robson said: "Given the rigours of the season, the upcoming Premiership final and subsequent Scotland game against Barbarians and tour to South Africa, he will take no active part in the Scotland training camp this week and will concentrate on his rehabilitation."
Scotland back-row forward Donnie Macfadyen also missed training as he continues his return to full match fitness after a lengthy knee injury.
