South Africa winger Bryan Habana will be sidelined for up to six weeks because of a rib injury.
A spokesman for the Springboks confirmed that Habana, who sustained the injury in the 36-26 loss to France on Saturday, would not be considered for the first half of the Tri-Nations, which gets underway next month.
"At this stage it is anywhere between four and six weeks," he said.
Habana’s replacement for the Tri Nations will be announced when the squad is named later this week.
