The three players injured in South Africa’s Tri-Nations defeat to New Zealand are expected to be fit for their next game.
Lock Victor Matfield, winger Bryan Habana and flanker Juan Smith all were hurt in Saturday’s 35-17 loss in Wellington but it has been decided the trio will undergo treatment at the side’s camp in Sydney rather than returning home.
Matfield has a twisted ankle, Smith a shoulder joint injury and Habana a dislocated finger but none of the three will be replaced.
They are all hopeful of being available for the Springboks’ next clash against Australia in Sydney on August 5.
