Damian Hopley has signed a new four-year agreement to continue as chief executive of the Professional Rugby Players’ Association.
Bath prop David Barnes, chairman of PRA, described former Wasps and England centre Hopley as the "ideal person" for one of English rugby’s key roles.
Barnes said: "The next four years will be an extremely important period regarding the future planning of rugby union in England, and the views of the players will be integral to any long-standing agreements negotiated."
Hopley added: "The last four years have seen the PRA go from strength to strength as we have introduced a number of initiatives to benefit all the members – both current and former players.
"I am delighted to have the confidence of the board and the players to continue my work at the PRA, and look forward to the challenges that lie in the months and years ahead."
