New Zealand coach Graham Henry has invited former captain Tana Umaga to training ahead of the test double-header against France.
Umaga, who led the All Blacks to a 45-7 win over France in Paris two years ago, is currently playing out a lucrative three-month contract with second division French side Toulon.
Henry told The Dominion Post: "There’s an invite for him to be involved with us to a limited extent.
"He won’t probably play but it’ll be good to see him, because he’s held in very high regard by the guys and they find him very motivational and it would be good if he could be here.
"We did discuss before he left home the opportunity of coming here and coming to Paris (ahead of the second French test) and he was keen to do so if commitments allowed him."
