South African veteran Os du Randt is fit and raring to go to his third World Cup.
The only surviving member of the 1995 victorious World Cup squad has come under fire for his lack of presence in matches in this year’s Super 14, and in the first few Tests that the Springboks played.
But the 34-year-old is now rested and ready for action, according to his former 1995 teammate and current Bok scrum doctor Balie Swart.
"There might have been that perception six weeks ago, but after Os had that two-week break with the rested Boks, he is looking in the best shape of his life," Swart told journalists.
"He is just so |focused at the moment and he’s a great team man. Os is looking like a different animal and he’s ready for the World Cup."
