All Blacks star Carl Hayman met his Newcastle Falcons team-mates for the first time today and admitted he cannot wait to get "stuck in" to action.
The 28-year-old New Zealander, who is considered one of the world’s top prop forwards, could be involved in Saturday’s Anglo-Welsh Cup visit to London Wasps before the Falcons play back-to-back matches against Irish province Connacht in the European Challenge Cup.
"I’m looking forward to getting involved more in the training as we go on, and getting stuck in to the rugby here with the talent in the Falcons squad right now," Hayman said.
"It’s fantastic to be here. With travelling for a full day and arriving late on Monday we had a good sleep to get the journey out of the legs, and we’re gradually getting switched on to British time."
