Former Wales and Lions international Colin Charvis could be given an opportunity to become a player-coach at Newport Gwent Dragons.
The 35-year-old back row forward, who won 94 caps for his country and appeared for the Lions on their 2001 tour to Australia, had originally been expected to retire from rugby at the close of the 2007/08 season.
Charvis is currently out of contract at the Dragons but has been involved in pre-season training with the Rodney Parade side.
The former Swansea, Celtic Warriors, Newcastle and Tarbes player’s future could be decided early next week.
