Australia coach Robbie Deans believes the Tri-Nations old-timers in his side will give the Wallabies the edge when they face South Africa in Perth on Saturday night.
The world champions are on a high after beating the All Blacks in Dunedin and have just the Subiaco Oval Test remaining before they head home.
But with Lote Tuqiri, Wycliff Palu, George Smith and Nathan Sharpe returning to the Wallabies line-up, Deans believes he has the firepower at his disposal to match the in-form Springboks.
"Experience is always valuable," he said. "This is our first Tri-Nations Test and we are conscious of the fact that it’s going to be a step up from what we’ve encountered to date.
"When you get into those circumstances, to have as many blokes around you that have some kilometres on the clock is valuable.
"This is a very good mature Springbok side. They not only have achievements behind them, but they are still stacking them up, which was evident last week.
"They have a lot of experience, but are still in their prime and they are still hungry to keep tucking away silverware.
"They are definitely better for having two Tests under their belt and I wouldn’t expect any fatigue given they are heading home after the game.
"They have a huge opportunity as they will be in a magnificent position if they win."
