Springbok back row international Hendro Scholtz will lead the Vodacom Free Staet Cheetahs against the British & Irish Lions in Bloemfontein on Saturday in the absence of Juan Smith.
The Cheetahs will be missing their current Springbok squad members, flanker Juan Smith and wing Jongi Nokwe, but will still have the majority of their Super 14 stars available, including prop Wian du Preez who will face the tourists against in Cape Town for the Emerging Springboks.
Despite the loss of Smith and Nokwe, Scholtz will still have four other players who have played for the Springboks in a team that is coached by former London Irish hooker Naka Drotske.
