Former Lions tourist Jason White could be set for a return to Scotland colours.
The 2005 Lion hasn’t featured since last year’s autumn internationals but could now face the All Blacks this November.
White suffered a double leg fracture last year and has only just returned to action.
The 32-year-old is currently playing his rugby with reigning French Champions Clermont Auvergne and has largely featured as a replacement so far this term.
White’s comeback is being closely watched by Scotland boss Andy Robinson, with the 2001 Lions coach admitting he will have no hesitation recalling the veteran back row cum lock if his form is up to scratch.
"Jason is back playing with Clermont Auvergne and we are monitoring his performances," said Robinson.
"He will come into the equation for selection to the squad."
White played just a single game for the Lions after being called up as a late replacement on the tour of New Zealand five years ago and currently has 77 Scotland caps to his name.
