Lions duo hand Wales a boost

Wales have been boosted by the return to fitness of Gethin Jenkins and Andy Powell ahead of the clash with New Zealand on Saturday

Double Lion Jenkins picked up a calf injury in Wales' loss at the hands of Australia and was forced to sit out the matches against South Africa and Fiji. While Powell, a Lions tourist in 2009, hobbled off with a groin injury against South Africa.

But the Lions pair have handed Warren Gatland a major fitness boost after returning to training today to keep alive their hopes of facing the All Blacks.

Sam Warburton could also line-up against the All Blacks while Deiniol Jones has been ruled out after suffering a fractured cheek.

"Most of the guys have trained today," said Former Lion and current Wales kicking coach Neil Jenkins.

"Deiniol is out after fracturing his cheek in the last game, which rules him out against New Zealand.

" Everyone else will train. Gethin and Andy have both taken part in light training this morning and will build it up through the week."
