2009 Lions tourist Tom Croft is eyeing an English Grand Slam after grabbing the match-winning try in the 22-16 victory over Scotland.
The back-row forward had been sidelined since fracturing his shoulder in the final autumn series game against South Africa.
But after returning to action with Leicester Tigers, Croft was recalled to international duty in the penultimate RBS 6 Nations clash and capped his comeback with a try.
After missing the victories over Wales, Italy and France, Croft is now relishing the opportunity to lock horns with Ireland on Saturday.
"When you see the back row playing well you wonder where you fit back in the mix," said Croft.
"It was great to be back involved with a squad that is going well and hopefully we can finish the job off now.
"We knew it would be a battle and we had to wear them down for the full 80 minutes.
"It wasn't the performance we had been hoping for. We made quite a few mistakes and there are areas we can improve in the week going into Ireland but we take the win.
"We're in a good place, four from four and a chance of a Grand Slam. We need to be focused and not let the whole event get on top of us."
With a far superior points difference over nearest rivals Wales, England should be crowned champions even if they fall to defeat against Ireland.
And Croft is anticipating an Irish backlash after their controversial loss in Cardiff knocked them out of the title race.
"The Irish will be very dangerous with that Triple Crown gone. They will want to spoil our party," added Croft.
