2009 Lion Tommy Bowe reckons the rest of the RBS 6 Nations will be backing Ireland to derail England’s Grand Slam chariot.
The men from the Emerald Isle are now the only side that can stop Martin Johnson's unbeaten England from clinching an historic cleen-sweep of Championship encounters.
Ireland's controversial defeat at the hands of Wales put an end to Irish dreams of a Championship title and Triple Crown.
But Bowe is adamant there is still plenty to play for and is desperate for his side to repeat the heroics of 2001.
Ten years ago England saw their Grand Slam hopes come crashing down at Lansdowne Road after defeat in the final game of the tournament.
Ireland wing Bowe said: "It would be huge for us to stop England winning the Grand Slam.
"It won't just be us wanting the win, it would be the hopes of the entire Championship. All the different countries will be backing us.
"England are playing some good stuff and are on a roll which is good to see. They've really turned it around but we want to put that to an end."
Bowe was one of the stars of the 2009 Lions tour of South Africa. The flying Ulsterman racked up four tries in six appearances in the red including all three Test matches.
