Former Lions assistant coach Andy Robinson has made just one change to his Scotland side to take on Italy in the final round of the RBS 6 Nations.
Edinburgh prop Geoff Cross will start his first international match for two years, replacing Glasgow's Moray Low in a side that contains two former Lions
Kelly Brown, who was taken off against Englandwith concussion, has been passed fit to play at number eight.
Back row Brown, who was stretchered off during Sunday's 22-16 defeat to England as they continued their match to Grand Slam glory.
“We have chosen Geoff at tighthead prop as he made a good impact when he was introduced on Sunday in both set-piece and open play,” said Robinson.
"We have been watching Geoff's performances very closely since the A international win against the Irish at Netherdale back in January and he fully deserves this chance."
Scotland are yet to win in this season’s Championship and face an Azzurri side on the back of a historic victory over France.
But Scotland captain Alistair Kellock is determined to finish the Six Nations on a high with a much-needed triumph over Italy.
"It's a massive game for us, we know that," said the Glasgow Warriors lock.
"We've got to take positives from the England game and use the momentum we've got – even though we were beaten – to push for a top performance that it will take to beat the Italians, especially on the back of the win they've just had."
"We had a real chance of winning at Twickenham; everybody realises how special it would've been had we done so.
"We've got to look at the things we did well, take them on board and push to get a performance this week.
"Over the last few games our line-out has gone well and it didn't function anywhere near where it needed to. We've got a lot to work on."
