Pocock ruled out

David Pocock’s long-awaited return to action has been delayed after he was ruled out of Australia’s encounter with England.

The 24-year-old flanker was set to feature in the clash at Twickenham after recovering from a knee ligament injury.

But scans have revealed Pocock has suffered a calf strain to keep him on the sidelines with Kane Douglas, who has also been ruled out due to a knee injury.

The Wallabies are also sweating on the availability of Rob Simmons, who has been cited for a dangerous tackle in the heavy defeat to France last weekend.

But they have been boosted by the return of livewire wing Digby Ioane, who has missed their last two matches due to knee trouble.
