Hong Kong tickets now on sale

Tickets for the historic game between the British & Irish Lions and the Barbarians in Hong Kong on Saturday, 1 June (kick-off 7.30pm local time) have gone on public sale.

The 40,000 seater venue will have the honour of hosting the first fixture on the Lions’ 125th anniversary tour and the game will be a repeat of the 1977 Silver Jubilee match played at Twickenham between the same two teams.

Tickets are on sale via www.HKticketing.com and can also be booked via the Hong Kong Ticketing hotline: 3128 8288. More than 10,000 tickets are being made available to the Hong Kong public.

Fans are able to buy up to eight tickets each and prices for reserved seating are as follows:

Gold: HK$ 1,290 (£101)

Silver: HK$ 1,000 (£80)

Bronze: HK$ 750 (£60)

Hong Kong Rugby Clubs were given an exclusive booking window to order tickets and the demand surpassed all expectations, as did the early offering to schoolchildren, which has resulted in all concessionary tickets in this category being sold-out.

There are also opportunities for individuals to purchase official hospitality packages that include an out of ground food and beverage offering and a designated match seat. These have been on-sale since September.

They are bookable through www.LionsTour.com/HongKongHospitality or Ironmonger Events on +852 2973 0116 and have proved very popular. Red, Black and Platinum packages are available from HK$4,950 (£399).

When bookings are made you will receive a confirmation receipt which will either be emailed or posted to you. Tickets will be made available in late April 2013 for collection or by post depending on the method selected at the time of booking.
