2009 Lion Alun Wyn Jones has been added to Wales’ RBS Six Nations squad.
The Ospreys lock, who played in all three Tests during the tour of South Africa four years ago, has been sidelined with a shoulder injury.
He had been out of action since suffering the blow during Wales’ autumn campaign but came off the bench in the Ospreys’ victory over Ulster on Friday.
Jones made a colossal impact during his cameo appearance with 10 tackles in just 31 minutes.
And he has been rewarded with an instant recall to the international set-up with Rob Howley’s men set to face Italy on February 23.
Jones’ Ospreys team mate Ian Evans and Dragons newcomer Andrew Coombs have been the starting locks so far in the tournament, with both men impressing with their workrate in defeat to Ireland and victory over France.
Perpignan’s Luke Charteris is still unavailable with a knee injury, while Bradley Davies of the Blues is recovering from ankle surgery and Harlequins lock Olly Kohn missed the trip to Paris after making his debut in Round 1.
