Jonathan Davies’ summer exploits with the British & Irish Lions will bring the best out of his Scarlets team-mates according to forwards coach Danny Wilson.
Davies played in all three of the Lions’ summer Tests against Australia as they recorded a historic series win Down Under and has been appointed joint-captain of his club side this season.
The 25-year-old centre sat out his sides opening clash against Leinster but Wilson expects him to return sooner rather than later.
And after catching the eye in Australia to add to his growing reputation, Wilson believes Davies’ presence will have a major impact on the dressing room.
“What Jon brings is obviously experience and what he did in the summer [is] something the whole region is extremely proud of,” he said.
“I know that having him back on the field, the boys will feed off that confidence and that leadership that he brings.
“It can only be a positive to have him back in a Scarlets jersey. His leadership is superb. It will add to some of the other good leaders we've got in this group.”
“I think you will very shortly see Jon involved and see him in a Scarlets shirt, which we're all looking forward to seeing.”
