British & Irish Lions centre Jonathan Davies is loving life back with the Scarlets following an incredible summer Down Under and insists Wales is where he wants to stay despite interest from overseas.
The 25-year-old was one of the standout performers for the Lions and started all three Tests against the Qantas Wallabies in Australia to help seal a 2-1 series victory.
Davies started his second game for the Scarlets at the weekend having returned from an extended break and helped his side see off Edinburgh 22-9 at Murrayfield.
And with his current contract due to run out at the end of this season Davies has allied fears he is to leave his home nation, insisting he is hopeful his future can be sorted sooner rather than later.
“Coming back after the Lions tour in the summer I got a really good break,” he said. “I was able to get away and not think about anything rugby related. I was very grateful of that.
“I am just getting back into the rugby now. Hopefully things can be sorted in the next month or so.
“I’ve grown up supporting the club and I want to stay in Wales really because I can’t speak French. Joking aside, I want to get things sorted and hopefully they can be.”
