The British & Irish Lions’ Welsh contingent had a huge part to play in victory Down Under this summer and Sam Warburton believes Wales will only reap the benefits.
No fewer than 16 Welsh players took part in the Tour to Australia as the Lions clinched a first series win since 1997.
And as a member of the winning squad, Warburton insists the Lions’ Welsh heroes are champing at the bit to translate their success onto the international stage ahead of the autumn internationals.
"I think, going into this autumn, we're probably as confident as we've ever been,” he said.
“And going away in the summer to the Lions and the success we had down there against Australia, the group of Welsh players who have come back now are obviously full of confidence and really looking forward to the autumn campaign.
"The last home game we played for Wales was when we played England, the last game of the Six Nations which we all have great memories of that as Welshmen.
"I think for Wales, we've underachieved in the autumn campaigns in the last few years. We've set the bar very high this autumn campaign and hopefully we will get at least three wins out of four."
