British & Irish Lion George North starred on his return to Wales as his superb solo try helped Northampton Saints secure victory over Ospreys in the Heineken Cup.
North ran in a sensational breakaway try just after the break, showcasing his power and strength by running 70 metres to score in front of the on-looking Lions and Wales head coach Warren Gatland.
The 21-year-old, who helped the Lions record a 2-1 series victory Down Under against Australia last summer, was happy to continue his try-scoring form and wants his side to finish the group stages with a bang next Friday against Castres at Franklin’s Gardens.
"I'm happy to get the try and to get a few of them under my belt now," North said. "It sparked our second half and from my point of view it was good to get over the try line again.
"The first half was frustrating. We went out to play at our tempo and to be fair to the Ospreys they negated that. But once the second half came on we had a bit of life put in us and we got the tries we needed.
"We've got nothing to lose now and it's win or bust. We'll look to go out strong next week on Friday night and look to take it to them."
