Jonathan Davies’ return from injury continues, as the British & Irish Lions centre prepares to make his comeback with club side Scarlets this weekend.
Davies was one of just three Lions to play every minute of the summer Test series against Australia, alongside fellow Welshmen Leigh Halfpenny and George North.
But the centre suffered a torn pectoral muscle on his return to international rugby, as Wales hosted South Africa in their opening autumn international.
Wales head coach Warren Gatland, who led the Lions in 2013, suggested Davies could be close to a return this week and his recovery has been confirmed by Scarlets boss Simon Easterby.
The 25-year-old will line up against London Irish on Saturday and Easterby is hoping to see the centre back to full fitness very soon.
“It is an opportunity for Jon to get game-time after such a long lay-off,” Easterby told the South Wales Evening Post.
“It's good news he has had such a speedy recovery, and he has done really well to get back in the time-frame he has. He is ready and will play his part for us on the weekend.”
