British & Irish Lions lock Alun Wyn Jones is back in training with Wales and expected to return against England at Twickenham.
The second row was ruled out of his side’s win over France at the 11th hour with a toe infection.
But the second-row, who captained the Lions in their decisive third Test win over Australia, has made a swift recovery and will train with the Wales first-team this week.
"Alun Wyn didn't train on Tuesday, but we are hoping he will be training later on in the week," said Shaun Edwards, the Wales defence coach.
"We will be guided by the physios. He had an infection in his foot."
Fellow Lion Jonathan Davies has been struggling with a pectoral injury and will return to his club side the Scarlets for this weekend’s clash with Munster.
But should the 25-year-old prove his fitness he too could be in line for a return against the old enemy England.
"His (Davies’) actual fitness is excellent, he has actually been working incredibly hard with the conditioners," added Edwards.
"He just needs match fitness to get his confidence really.
"It's the kind of injury where he needs confidence, knowing he can put a shoulder into a tackle."
