Wales and British & Irish Lions No.8 Taulupe Faletau has set his sights on South Africa this summer to right the wrongs of the start of this year.
Wales suffered disappointing reversals to both England and Ireland in the last two months but rounded things off with a comprehensive win over Scotland last weekend.
And Faletau, who started the the third and final Test in Australia last summer, scored a try in the 51-3 mauling at the Millennium Stadium.
But with a summer tour to South Africa coming up, Warren Gatland’s side will be itching to set the record straight and Faletau is no different.
“We wanted to end on a good note and we’re happy with the result,” he said.
“It’s not mission impossible in South Africa. We’ll be going out there with optimism.
“The boys won’t be going out there to lose and hopefully it will be a good tour for Wales.
“We were good in patches but I guess we could have been more clinical, which is something we need to work on.
“I guess overall we’ve got to be disappointed with how the tournament has gone for us.
“We wanted to win the championship but it didn’t quite happen for us.
“This win is bittersweet I guess. We’re frustrated and we’ve got regrets about the way we played in Ireland and England.”
