British & Irish Lions centre Jonathan Davies is hoping to finish his time with boyhood club Scarlets on a high before heading to France this summer.
Davies missed three months of action with a torn pectoral muscle and, after returning to the Wales side for their defeat at Twickenham, helped Warren Gatland’s team to a 51-3 thrashing of Scotland on Saturday.
The 25-year-old, who played every minute of the Lions’ victorious series in Australia last summer, is set to join Clermont Auvergne at the end of the season.
And he wants to finish life at Scarlets on a high – as well as heading to South Africa with Wales this summer on top form.
"I have had three months off and I am ready to go,” he said. “We have got a few games left with the Scarlets and I want to make sure my time at the Scarlets finishes on a good note.
"I am very proud of the region I supported as a kid and I am looking forward to getting some opportunities on the bounce.
"It is exciting for the rest of the season. We have a good run-in with the Scarlets and hopefully a summer tour of South Africa.
"We want to challenge ourselves against one of the best teams in the world, so there is a lot to play for."
