British & Irish Lion Manu Tuilagi insists he feels almost back to full fitness after he continued his comeback from injury with an impressive display for Leicester Tigers.
The centre, who was sidelined for five months with a torn pectoral muscle, scored two tries as the Tigers defeated London Wasps 27-15 in the Premiership.
Tuilagi enjoyed a successful summer Down Under with the Lions, making four appearances, but cut a frustrated figure on the sidelines.
But now back in action, Tuilagi admits he is really looking forward to helping Leicester retain their domestic crown.
“It was important to get the five points looking forward towards hopefully making the semi-final,’ Tuilagi said.
‘I’m definitely feeling like I’m getting my match fitness back. It was really frustrating to be out for as long as I was.
“Watching your team-mates train while you’re in the physio room is hard. You just don’t feel like you’re part of the team. It’s been really frustrating.’
