British & Irish Lion Justin Tipuric is nearing a return from the shoulder injury that kept him out of Wales’ Tour of South Africa earlier this summer.
Tipuric, whose rise in world rugby continued with a successful six appearances in a Lions shirt in 2013, had to contend with a niggling shoulder complaint for much of last season.
The decision was made for the Ospreys flanker to undergo surgery in May – and he is on course to be back on the pitch sooner rather than later.
“Justin is progressing nicely following shoulder surgery,” Ospreys medical performance manager Chris Towers told the South Wales Evening Post.
“The key for him now is a good period of physical preparation to allow him to hit his key targets over the next eight weeks ahead of his return to playing.”
