British and Irish Lions No.8 Taulupe Faletau admits he is relishing the chance to go up against fellow Lion Sam Warburton in an all-Welsh clash this weekend.
Faletau, who started the decisive third Test during the Lions’ 2013 tour win in Australia, will line up for Newport Gwent Dragons against Warburton and Gethin Jenkins' Cardiff Blues in a crucial European tie on Saturday.
The 24-year-old admits it may be strange facing his Wales international teammates after having spent more time with country than club in recent months.
But once Faletau runs out at Rodney Parade, he insists he will not be short of motivation to get stuck into Lions captain Warburton.
“This is definitely the biggest game I’ve been involved in since I’ve been with the Dragons,” Faletau told Wales Online. “I haven’t played in a quarter-final with them before.
“The boys have had a smile on their faces in training and we are just looking ahead to the game.
“Once you are on the pitch, you are playing rugby, no matter who is in front of you.
“It can be hard coming back into the region after being away with Wales. You tend to forget the calls when you are away for so long.
“But the boys have been helping me pick them up again.”
