Elliot Daly has extended his contract with last year’s Aviva Premiership runners up Wasps.
The 24-year-old played a pivotal role on the 2017 British & Irish Lions Tour to New Zealand. He started all three Tests against New Zealand, kicking a crucial long-range penalty in the drawn third Test and proving an attacking threat throughout the series.
Speaking about his decision to stay at the Ricoh Arena, Daly said: “I’m really pleased to have extended my contract with Wasps. In some ways it seems like yesterday that I made my Wasps debut. In other ways, when you think of the progress we’ve made as a club and squad over the past five years it feels like a life-time ago.”
Head coach Dai Young, himself a Lions Tourist in 1989, was delighted to see Daly prove his quality on the world stage during the summer.
He said: ‘He has consistently been one of our stand-out players over recent seasons and has seized every opportunity that has come his way on the back of those performances. I was really pleased for him that he was able to show everyone exactly what he’s capable of at the very highest level during the Lions tour.
A product of the Wasps Academy, Daly has made 157 appearances for Wasps since making his debut back in 2010 and has also won 13 international caps for England
