For Jez Hall and his wife Karen, a trip to Australia to watch the Lions was a dream that they thought may never come true.
Now, thanks to The British & Irish Lions Principal Partner Howden, they will be travelling to Australia next summer having entered and won a competition to win travel, tickets and accommodation through Lions Rugby Travel.

The married couple from Oldbury in the West Midlands will be part of the sea of red fans travelling to Australia on what will be there 40th wedding anniversary.
“We just couldn’t believe it,” said Jez, 64, who first went to a rugby match with his wife in 2015 for the Rugby World Cup.
“We have always wanted to watch the Lions but to be honest a trip to Australia never felt possible for us.
“COVID meant that we couldn’t watch the Lions play at Murrayfield in 2021 which we were gutted about. To get the call that we had won the Lions competition was absolutely extraordinary.”
Jez and Karen will be in Australia for several weeks and it isn’t just the Test matches that they’re excited by.
“I’m sure the atmosphere will be completely different to anything we’ve ever experienced,” said Jez. “Rugby is special in that way, it brings fans together like nothing else.
“But the Lions is even more unique. Rivals become teammates and it’s that camaraderie that I love about it.”

The couple will be taking in the sights of Australia with trips to Hamilton Island and the Great Barrier Reef on the itinerary.
“The only problem now is we’re going to bore all of our friends by talking about the trip for the next year! We really can’t wait.”
