Guinness Premiership players Aisea Havili and Dan Ward-Smith have both been cited for alleged incidents of foul play.
Worcester wing Havili will appear before a Rugby Football Union disciplinary panel in London next Monday after being reported for a dangerous tackle on Newcastle fly-half Dave Walder during Warriors’ 21-15 defeat against the Falcons on New Year’s Day.
Bristol number eight Ward-Smith also faces a dangerous tackle charge following an incident involving Northampton’s Daniel Browne, again on New Year’s Day.
Ward-Smith’s hearing will be held in Coventry on January 17.
Recommended punishments for dangerous tackling range from a two-week ban to a maximum six-month suspension.
