Jean de Villiers has been recalled by South Africa for Saturday’s Tri Nations clash with newly-crowned champions New Zealand.
De Villiers replaces Wynand Olivier at inside centre in the only change from the side beaten 20-18 by Australia in their last outing almost three weeks ago.
However, openside flanker Juan Smith is an injury doubt after suffering a leg injury on Wednesday morning and he faces a scan to determine how serious the problem is.
A decision on his participation will be made on Wednesday afternoon.
Ruan Pienaar is named on the bench, while Andre Pretorius also earns a recall among the replacements.
The All Blacks have made 11 changes from the side which retained the title following Saturday’s 34-27 win against the Wallabies.
