Sir Clive Woodward has warned British & Irish Lions watchers not to read too much into his selection for the meeting with Argentina.
Woodward’s side will take on the Pumas on May 23 at the Millennium Stadium before jetting to New Zealand to begin the tour.
And, while Woodward will be taking the match seriously, he is unlikely to give away too much about his first-choice XV for the opening Lions Test.
"The Argentina match is the first game of the trip," he told Sky Sports.
"All my planning is based on that first Test match at the end of June and we’ve worked backward from there.
"The players who will play in the first game against Argentina will also be preparing for that first tour game against Bay of Plenty.
"In the early days, I will be mixing and matching. There may be one or two players I may play against Argentina just to test their fitness but the Argentina game starts the selection process for the first Test."
