It will have been 572 days since Dan Biggar and Lima Sopoaga faced off in a clash between The British & Irish Lions and the Highlanders but on Sunday the pair will be matched up once more.
Some 11,873 miles away from the Forsyth Barr Stadium in Dunedin, at the Ricoh Arena in Coventry, the pair will be charged with pulling the strings in a clash between Wasps and Northampton Saints in the English Premiership.
Former All Black Sopoaga joined Wasps this season and will start at No.10, where he will go up against Biggar, a summer signing for the Saints.
The Wales fly-half has been in fine form recently, helping the East Midlands side to successive wins over Worcester Warriors and leaders Exeter Chiefs.
And on Sunday he will go up against Sopoaga, who he last faced in the red of the Lions back in 2017.
That day Sopoaga kicked eight points in a 23-22 success, while Biggar managed seven for the Lions in their fourth match of the Tour.
And the Lions went onto secure a 1-1 draw in the Test series thanks to a victory in Wellington followed by a draw in Auckland in the final Test.
Since then Biggar has switched club rugby from the Ospreys to Northampton, and looks to be coming into his own after playing a leading role in their rise up to sixth in the Premiership table.
