The British & Irish Lions has appointed Charlotte Gibbons on secondment as Director of Operations. Charlotte joins The British & Irish Lions from the Rugby Football Union (RFU) where she is the England men’s team Operations Manager.
Charlotte will be a key member of the Lions Executive team and will play a central role in the overall management of the Tour party, leading the logistical planning for next summer’s eagerly awaited Tour to Australia.
In her role with the RFU, Charlotte led the men’s team operations for the Rugby World Cup in Japan 2019 and France 2023. Charlotte also served as Pathway Operations Manager from 2006 to 2016 working across the men’s pathway including the England U18 & U20 teams, with the England Saxons and Regional Academies.
Her position included planning and delivering the team operations for the various age grade Six Nations tournaments, as well as the U18 Tours to South Africa, Australia and Argentina, the U20 Junior World Championships, and the England Saxons’ Tours and fixtures.
