British & Irish Lion Brad Barritt returned to action for Saracens on Saturday after three months out with a foot injury and his club boss admits he has no reservations about throwing the centre into the action again.
Sarries face Gloucester in the Premiership on Saturday and head coach Mark McCall insists Barritt will start the game after impressing against Worcester.
The 27-year-old underwent foot surgery in September and it was thought he’d be eased back into the fold.
But Barritt, who was called out to join the British & Irish Lions squad in Australia to act as midfield cover in June, will have no time to rest on his laurels.
“It was great to get 30 minutes out of Brad Barritt. He will be likely to start against Gloucester next week,” said McCall after his side’s 26-8 victory over Worcester Warriors.
"It is a very satisfying result for us. We have struggled at Sixways in the last four seasons and lost here, so to come and get a bonus-point win, we are really happy.
"The scoreline was unfortunate for Worcester as they fronted up but we were very clinical and took our chances, scored four wonderful tries and then fought for each other in the second half.”
