British & Irish Lions lock Alun Wyn Jones revealed the tourists had no intentions of playing the "great entertainers" and sending the series to a third test decider in Sydney next week.
All week the talk in the Lions camp had been of seizing the moment and going 2-0 up in the series. In the end, however, the only try of the game came from the Australians and that allowed them to level things at 1-1.
“We didn't want to be the great entertainers by taking the series to a decider, but it’s done now and we have to work hard this week,” said the man who has featured in the last five Lions Tests.
“The first 15 minutes of both halves were pretty frantic, but we were happier with how things went in the first half. As for the scrums, we were on the receiving end of a barrage of penalties but then we had a couple when we went right through them.
“We felt a little hard done by, but we will be right for next week. We can also sure-up the line out as well – we have to look at that and move on.”
