Double boost for Sale

Sale Sharks have received a double Lions boost ahead of their Aviva Premiership clash with Exeter Chiefs.

Peel, who toured with the Lions in 2005 and made five appearances, was ruled out of the matches with Gloucester and Leeds after picking up a head injury in the loss to Northampton at the beginning of the month.

Sheridan, a two-time Lions tourist, has been less prominent for the Sharks this season and has made just five appearances to date.

But they are both back fully-fit and available for the vital league clash.

"Andrew has only played once for Sale Sharks in the last three months because of his England duties and injury, " said Sale executive director of rugby Steve Diamond.

"He has now recovered from his calf injury sustained whilst playing for England and is really looking forward to the game.

"Dwayne sustained a bang to the head at Northampton but he too is ready for action. I will name the full 23 on Thursday morning."
