Former Lion Gavin Henson could be about to swap his tap shoes for boots and make his rugby comeback against Wasps on Boxing Day.
The Strictly Come Dancing star, 28, has not played rugby since March 2009 after picking up ankle and Achilles injuries and taking a 19-month sabbatical from the game.
But he ended that by signing for Saracens at the end of October. Although Henson trains with the club he is yet to feature due to his dancing commitments.
But Saracens chief executive Ed Griffiths admits the Wembley clash with Wasps would provide the perfect stage for Henson's much anticipated comeback.
"If you're looking at it, the Wembley match looks like a grand stage for what could be a grand occasion," said Griffiths.
"Obviously, selection of the team is very much up to the coaches, but it's funny how things seem to work out.
"Maybe Gavin Henson's Saracens debut could take place on the grandest stage in English sport at Wembley Stadium."
Griffiths is also confident that the 31-times capped Welsh centre, who scored two tries in four games for the Lions during the 2005 tour of New Zealand, will be match fit despite such a prolonged absence.
"Gavin hadn't played competitive rugby for over a year, so he was always going to take some training to get back to fitness," added Griffiths.
"But he's looking exceptional in training. The coaches are delighted with his progress over the last few weeks.
