With the tour of South Africa now less than eight months away, the Lions and HSBC are pleased to announce a series of special events featuring Lions stars from the recent and not so recent past.
A selection of HSBC Lions Legends lunches and dinners are scheduled to take place between November 2008 and May 2009, giving supporters the opportunity to get close to some of the most-famous names in Lions history.
The HSBC events will see some of the greatest ever Lions players come together throughout the forthcoming season, with the likes of Gareth Edwards, Gavin Hastings and Willie John McBride all scheduled to appear.
The series kicks off with a unique dinner at Lord's Cricket Ground on Thursday 20 November, with three huge Lions Legends in attendance in the form of JPR Williams, Lawrence Dallaglio and Jeremy Guscott.
All the events are in support of the Lions Charitable Trust, which aims to help former Lions in need of assistance, as well as furthering the development of the game as a whole and aiding community projects in the countries visited by the Lions.
