The Lions Trust seeks to appoint Charity Partners

, which exists to nurture and support all Lions players in need while furthering the spirit, values and ethos of The British & Irish Lions, is seeking to appoint its official charity partners for 2024-2025. Ahead of the Tour to South Africa the Lions Trust appointed its first ever official charity partners, the Matt Hampson Foundation, My Name’5 Doddie Foundation, The Atlas Foundation, and Wooden Spoon. All four charity partnerships were renewed in April 2022 and run until 31 December 2023. Despite the challenges surrounding the previous Lions Tour due to the global pandemic, the charity partnerships were a success and the Lions Trust are keen to build on the progress made. Key objectives include:

All applicants must be a registered charity based in the UK or Ireland and have a rugby element to their charitable work. The selection of the charities for the next cycle will begin with a Request for Proposal process.  Following shortlisting, a selection of charities will be invited to present their proposals directly to the Lions Trustees. A decision on appointments will be made late 2023 with official commencement of appointments on 1 January 2024. The partnerships will run until the end of 2025.
