Ireland international Ian Davidson was a winger by trade and appeared for the Lions during the 1903 Tour to South Africa.
Davidson was 19 when he made his debut for Ireland and won ten Test caps while scoring twice, most notably in a win over England at Lansdowne Road in 1901.
Two years later Davidson, at the age of 21, became a Lion and appeared in the drawn Test with South Africa in Johannesburg.
To that point Davidson had impressed against district teams, scoring try-doubles against Pietermaritzburg and Durban before lining up on the wing against the Springboks.
