A two-time tourist, Jeremy Davidson started all three Tests of the victorious 1997 Lions Tour to South Africa and was named players’ player of the Tour.
Davidson played in five Tour games before partnering captain Martin Johnson in the second row during the Tests.
The Irishman helped the Lions dominate the line-out throughout the series, in particular during the first Test victory in Cape Town.
The lock, capped just 32 times by Ireland, was also selected by Graham Henry for the 2001 Tour to Australia and featured in five Tour games Down Under. The Lions lost the Test series 2-1 with Davidson unable to break into the Test side.
