Having first made his international debut for Ireland in 1947, Mick Lane made his Lions debut on the 1950 Tour to New Zealand and Australia.
Lane, who played his club rugby for University College Cork at the time, made 11 appearances in the famous red jersey, including a Test against both Australia and the All Blacks.
During that Tour, Lane – who made 17 appearances for Ireland in a six-year international career - scored 15 points for the Lions in total, including two tries in the Lions 29-6 warm-up victory over Ashburton County-North Otago.
